About Nancy

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Rhetoric at Binghamton University, I set my sights on a career in publishing and marketing, moving to New York to work as a copywriter. I further explored my passion for writing and performance by studying at the Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church.

For over 20 years, I honed my marketing and creative strategy at Macmillan, a Big Five publisher. I led marketing and creative departments at two separate imprints, St. Martin’s Press and Flatiron Books, shaping innovative campaigns that contributed to the success of authors such as Kristin Hannah, Louise Penny, Brad Meltzer, Dr. Michael Greger, Stephanie Garber, Leigh Bardugo, Alice Feeney, and more. As VP, Executive Director of Marketing at Flatiron Books, I played a key role in brand building, cultivating author and agent relations, and consumer engagement, helping establish the imprint as an industry leader with nearly 100 New York Times bestsellers in a decade. One of my favorite moments came at a consumer conference when readers told me that they loved how we marketed to them!

Now based in Philadelphia, I continue to leverage my expertise in marketing strategy and brand development by working with independent authors and Surmount, an emerging nonprofit organization focused on equity and providing resources to underserved families. I’m looking for opportunities that provide meaningful, mission-based work and a sense of community.

I love the beach at the end of the day, drinking iced coffee year-round, binging horror movies, traveling the world with my family, and returning home to our pup.

I’ve always believed in the power of the written word, from immersing myself in Agatha Christie novels when I worked at my local Library as a teen to guiding my teen daughter as she writes her first book.
